SATYAGRAHA-14 | सत्याग्रह-14: “Transparency in Political Alliances” | “राजनीतिक गठबंधनों में पारदर्शिता”

The ruling alliance- NDA and also UPA don’t have its written constitution. But ensuring the internal democracy in ruling organisation is the constitutional duty of Election Commission of India (ECI).  Representation of People’s Act 1956 is made to ensure transparency in statement of income and expenditure in political parties. But the election commission has no power to ensure the internal democracy and transparency in financial matter of alliances; which has been ruling the country since 1989. If the written constitution is compulsory for political parties then why the same is not compulsory for alliances? 

To answer this question the team of Shri Vishwatma alias Bharat Gandhi has evolved a draft of written constitution for alliances. This constitution is already in use by the proposed alliance of political parties and social organisation namely GAPP (Global Alliance for Participation and Peace) –  http://gapptreaty.in.
