To

The Chief Minister of Telangana

‘Pragati Bhawan’

Hyderabad

Dear Chief Minister of Telangana,

May Peace Be upon you and blessings and mercy of God too (assalamu alaikum).

Subject:  ‘Ajmer Chadar sent by CM Telangana’ at whose cost?

References:  CMO release of 18 February 2021 – and various media coverage

We have been representing you consistently from 2015 onwards against your squandering public money for your personal religious preferences thus a charade to your lack of focus on the progress of every citizen of Telangana and protection/restoration of environment.

This representation to you has two parts which please read carefully and respond promptly:

A.  References from CMO page and media

B.  Questions to CM of Telangana

A. References from CMO page and media :

B.  Questions to Chief minister of Telangana:

i)  We have observed that you have given this CMO release of 18 February 2021 in three languages presuming that you have duly respected the two state languages Telugu and Urdu. But absence of Urdu version of CMO release is conspicuous in all other CMO releases on the FB page or twitter handle of CMO or any other governmental portal including minorities portal.

Can you explain why do you think that Urdu reading population has connection with you only when you send ‘Ajmer Chadar’ or throw an ‘Iftar party’?

We urge you to stop such religion drama and look into the educational, health, nutrition, corruption, security, peace and harmony, water, drainage, and other dire necessities of the Urdu speaking/reading population rather than misuse Urdu language as a means of drawing attention of a certain section of people.  India as a country can prosper if you pay attention to the universal human prosperity needs of every section of people but not by such hypocritic deeds which you are not mandated to do.  You may as an individual but not as a CM.

Please tell us if have you conducted an educational survey to understand how many children in the old city (original city) and of entire Telangana are still first generation school-goers and still so many students in our Hyderabad south city who are earning for the family?

Have your District Education Officers conducted Literacy Drives as a combing operation to implement free and compulsory education as enshrined in our constitution of India?

ii) It is also known from media publications that on 19 June2018 it was decided that,“Approximately 1500 delegates from across the state will travel to Ajmer in special train on a decided date and  tentatively the foundation stone for the new Rubath will be done by  Honourable Chief Minister  on 27th June 2018.”

How is welfare of Telangana people or minorities welfare achieved if 1500 ‘delegates’ from Telangana go in a special train for fanfare of your laying foundation stone in Ajmer?  Whether one wants to go to Ajmer whether Muslim or any other religion is purely their private affair.  Please don’t think that God or Ajmer saint will/can help you in such hypocritical deeds?

You have been chosen as CM to give us all Telangana people a socialist, secular democratic governance with utmost honesty, transparency, and accountability based on neeti/dharmam/taqwa/sincerity/justice.

iii) Finally, place in public domain and in reply to this email, all the funds that were spent on sending chadar to ajmer dargah and the niaz (money gift) given by you every year from 2014 onwards till 2021.

Tell us what head it was debited in?

Is this expenditure of Ajmer Chadar debited in minority accounts head or any govermental head, or is it your TRS party head, or is it your personal KCR and family expenses?

Please come clean before the people of telangana as you are accountable for every rupee that you are spending and living on.  Please be assured that we shall pursue this doggedly until we the people know from whose pocket this money was expended.

We shall also write to Ajmer Dargah separately, not to accept any ‘gifts’ from governments of india or state governments as it is public money.

Private organizations or individuals may do what they prefer as guaranteed and in ambit of the constitution of india.

Best,

Dr Lubna Sarwath

State General Secretary, Socialist Party (India) Hyderabad

&

Mr Maqbool Mateen

National President, United Citizens’ Forum

& many conscious citizens.
