Telangana: Results of Open Tenth Students Not Declared While Junior College Admission Deadlines Near

Hyderabad  1 June 2021

SUBJECT:  BIASED, NON-APPLICATION OF MIND ATTITUDE TOWARDS OPEN TENTH STUDENTS – RESULTS OF OPEN TENTH NOT DECLARED BUT INTERMEDIATE JUNIOR COLLEGE ADMISSIONS ARE GETTING CLOSED!!

REFERENCE:  OUR REPRESENTATIONS OF LAST YEAR FOR THE SAME CAUSE PERTAINING TO OPEN TENTH STUDENTS

It is most unpleasant situation that we once again have to represent government of Telangana/chief minister of Telangana who had declared passed for all tenth students that was not inclusive of open tenth students. While, on the other hand, intermediate admissions have begun and closed in many colleges. So open tenth cannot apply for their choicest colleges and choicest groups to study??

Thus once again Chief Minister preferred to be biased against open tenth students even though most of open tenth are from socially and financialy challenged families.  Without application of mind the tenth class students of Telangana were differentiated between ‘regular’ and ‘open’.

In fact open tenth results should have been declared before ‘regular’ tenth. This is how we got to encourage students who are struggling to mainstream their education and yet we dont find due diligence from government of Telangana.
Why the assignments of open tenth were not taken in time? Why not a single online class was held for open tenth?

We now urge the government of Telangana to promptly declare passed all open tenth students and enable open tenth passed students to apply for intermediate admissions. Also issue regulations that open tenth students be admitted into any college that they apply for and the group they apply for.

We hope the open tenth admissions will open in time in academic year 2021-22 so that the delays at all levels dont get cascaded.

Best,

Dr Lubna Sarwath

State General Secretary, Socialist Party (India)
