Reference: Your letter 1433-TSEC/ULBs/GHMC-2020 dated 28.11.2020.

Subject: Fraud in voter list given to contesting candidate. Duplicates, triplicates, quadruplicates in voter list of Asif Nagar ward voter list. 23 duplicates, 2 tripicates in polling booth 1; 14 duplicates in polling booth 2, 19 duplicates in polling booth 3, 51 duplicates and 2 quadruplicates in PS 15.

I reject the fraudulent voter list given to me the contesting candidate from asif nagar ward GHMC.  I feel ashamed and indignity to contest elections on such a fraudulent voter list that on a cursory observation itself throws up such glaring frauds.  Further, the number of deceased, shifted, locked , disqualified that are not deleted are unknown to me or to anybody. Further, numerous genuine voters who are left out of voter list is also unknown.

Number of duplicates, triplicates, quadruplicates in voter list of Asif Nagar ward voter list have been observed. –  23 duplicates 2 tripicates in polling booth 1; 14 duplicates in polling booth 2, 19 duplicates in polling booth 3, 51 duplicates and 2 quadruplicates in PS 15.

I reiterate my demand to give me a purified and authenticated list by conducting a de novo process, viz., fresh enumeration of voter list in Asifnagar ward.  The election be postponed, fresh voter list be prepared, and prompt elections to Asifnagar be conducted as entailed in our democratic process.

As regards your reply that “another list is being prepared by deputy commissioner/returning officer containing duplictes/deceased, absentee, shifted and would be given to presiding officer alongwith marked list on the day of polling”, please respond me with the following:

1. Provide me now, the list prepared by DC/RO of the list of duplicates/ deceased/ absentee that you would be giving to presiding officer.  What is this secret list that has not been given to candidates who are contesting and not given to public on website?  Why the duplicates were not weeded out of the voter list and what is the logic in giving a separate list of duplicates to presiding officer while retaining the duplicates in the voter list?

2. Secondly, you are asking me to give my own list to 61 polling agents.  I don’t have electoral rolls opaque money to hire polling agents. Please provide me honest 61 polling agents as volunteers.

It is clearly mentioned by law that the SEC should after taking assembly rolls from the CEO Telangana should make all necessary appropriate changes necessary for ward to go to polls.

What is your duty to weed out the fraud from the voter list you are asking the polling agents to do the same.  And please see the print quality of the voter list that is so light and the polling booth election staff always had a problem and they use the mobile torch lights to read the voter list to compare the face of the voter with that in the voter list.

Please reply promptly.

Best,

Dr Lubna Sarwath

Contesting candidate from 72 – Asifnagar ward, GHMC 2020 ordinary election

Note for public to think and be wise and question: why does government of Telangana think that Durgam Cheuvu should have cable bridge and it should be well lit but the voter polling booth should not be well lit and the voter list should be lightly printed?
