Dear Chief Justice at Hyderabad High Court,
LAST RESORT TO SAVE OUR HERITAGE DRINKING WATER RESERVOIRS OSMAN SAGAR (GANDIPET) AND HIMAYAT SAGAR WOULD BE SATYAGRAHA, IF THE BARBARIC INCURSIONS BY STATE AND STATE SUPPORTED PRIVATE ARE NOT EVICTED NOW.
Subject: JOINT SURVEY, WITH HMWSSB OFFICIALS, OF JUST A FEW OF THE ENCROACHMENTS INSIDE GANDIPET, THE OFFICIALLY DESIGNATED DRINKING WATER RESERVOIR OF PEOPLE OF HYDERABAD
We have not been able to spur and shock your conscience into justice for Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar, the two designated drinking water reservoirs of Hyderabad that are also part of our Hyderabadi heritage and irrigational marvels. We had earlier through the media and through direct representations brought to your knowledge the constructions right inside the Full Reservoir level of Osman Sagar, but found the same and additional state encroachments by way of concrete iron fencing inside the full reservoir level of Gandipet (Osman Sagar), during our joint survey of 18 November 2020.
Below please find the pictorial and geo-coordinated documentation out of the joint survey held on 18 November 2020 with HMWSSB officials – a team of five of various designations. We are depressed and shocked that the government that is supposed to give extra protection to these drinking water reservoirs that are public resources is itself gnawing it to annihilation of people’s water resources.

4. Violations demarcated on Google Earth satellite imagery with geo-mark of violation and image of violation captured during HMWSSB joint survey of 18 November 2020:

b) Concrete iron mesh fencing by government of Telangana inside full reservoir level of Osman Sagar, the drinking water resource of people
c) Sewage inflows from Oro sports flowing into Osman Sagar, the drinking water reservoir of people of hyderabad:

e) The Gandipet waters broke the encroached wall , the encroached wall that could not be broken by the HMWSSB – new wall erected after the Gandipet waters were drained out from its own space:
f) Ongoing constructions inside the full reservoir level of Gandipet. Gandipet waters are seen around these constructions and the government of Telangana is erecting the fence leaving these FRL area encroachments:
g) Constructions inside FRL – water of Gandipet outside the fencing erected by the government, thus setting a new boundary condoning the encroachments that breach the sanctity of the drinking water resource of the people:
5. Below please find a pathetic reply from the HMWSSB to our RTI query dated January 2019 and appealed in March 2019 to give, and place in public domain, the geo-coordinates of the FRL boundary of the Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar. Upon continuous follow up with officials, they have through an email dated 5 November 2020, cited the High Court as a reason for not giving to citizens the geo-coordinates of the reservoirs. Both the HMDA and HMWSSB websites do not place on their websites the geo-coordinates of Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar.
Dear Chief Justice, we are not appealing to you, we are not requesting you, we are just placing all the facts before you gathered to the best of our knowledge and energy limits. Please do what ought to be done from your august chairs.
We are not asking for moon or stars, we just ask the drinking water reservoirs to be protected for now and posterity, as this is a fundamental right.
