Salman Raini (Ph: 9335281976, 9198379619), Lucknow District President of Socialist Party (India) and General Secretary of ‘Young Farmers Traders Fruits and Vegetables Business Association,’ Dubagga, Lucknow is spearheading relief efforts in Lucknow during lockdown in the wake of coronavirus threat.
His team is reaching out to daily wage workers, homeless on streets and in shelter homes and patients or their caretakers outside hospitals and delivering food to them. Being an office-bearer of the fruits and vegetables mandi association he has got a curfew pass to move around. Yesterday, flour and vegetables were delivered to Md. Ismail, a mason from Sultanpur stuck in Lucknow with 3 other family members living in a temporary shelter in Nishatganj and pulses, oil, etc. were provided at a shelter home for homeless in Aishbagh with 12 inmates run by our colleague Sharad Patel.
If you are interested in contributing to these relief efforts you may do so in the following ways:
