Dear Friends,
This is an appeal to donate towards educational expenses for some children we support in different parts of country and for Ramzan packets that we wish to distribute to about 750 families in Lucknow. This time we have had to meet a new educational expense – pending fees of people who were not able to pay because of lockdown last year. Please see the attached excel sheet to get the details of children we have supported or wish to support. 15 years old Chandni, mentioned last in the list, also needs some help for medical expenses. Once she recovers she will continue her education.
We are happy to inform you that after running 23 kitchens in 3 states last year during lockdown, we gave out interest free loans totaling about Rs. 15 lakhs to over 300 people and of them 71 have returned their loans completely and only about 40 have not been able to start their repayments at all. We will be happy to share the details maintained in excel sheets.
The Ramzan packet that we wish to distribute will cost about rs. 300 per family and will contain 1 kg potato, 1 kg onion, 3 kg flour, 200 ml mustard oil, half kg arhar dal, half kg besan, half kg chana dal, half kg chana, 250 gm dates.
