Socialist (Party) India in collaboration with volunteers on the ground has been working actively for providing relief to low-income communities in Lucknow. The main focus of the relief work is providing food security to the marginalised sections of the society.

The relief efforts in Lucknow are led by Salman Raini, General Secretary of ‘Young Farmers Traders Fruits and Vegetables Business Association,’ Dubagga, Lucknow and the Lucknow District President of Socialist Party (India). His team has been selling vegetables at subsidised prices and distributing it for free to those who can’t afford.

Community Kitchens for the poor

From 5th April, the team has started 5 community kitchens in Lucknow – two in Dubbaga, one each in Madiyaon, Chowk and Gosainganj. The kitchens are operated directly by the community in need with support of the Socialist Party volunteers.
