Socialist Party (India) Pune unit organized a three day long campaign to save our constitution from fascist forces during Ganapati Festival in Pune between 9 September to 11 September. Since the last three years SPI Pune unit organizes long campaign during Ganapati Festival in Pune. This year also Party organized a three day long campaign to ‘Save Constitution’. Students participated in the campaign in large number. Party activists distributed pamphlets on Bajirao Road and Shivaji road in the evenings time from 7 pm to 10 pm on 9, 10 and 11th September. Party Student activists performed a street play on ‘Constitution and Fundamental Duties of the citizen’. The street play got a huge response. The street play was in Marathi.
More student activists perfromed another street play called “Aata Bass’ which is based on ‘voilence against women.’
Hundreds of thousands of people from Maharashtra come to Pune during Ganapati Festival. So to spread our voice outside Pune, we organize this campaign. Every year the campaign is run on the crowded streets in the evening during the festival.
