High Court at Hyderabad has issued orders on 20 May 2020 in WP(PIL)32/2020 for removal of encroachments and ordered the report to be filed by authorities by 24 June 2020, in:
(a) waterbody encroached @17°24’32.56″N 78°21’12.17″E, at Narsingi-Nanakramguda service road, Puppulguda Village, Gandipet M (erstwhile Rajendranagar M), RR District, Telangana and,
(b) the Moosi Nadi occupied @ 17°22’57.38″N 78°29’55.08″E, at river bed near Shankar Nagar, Amberpet Mandal, Hyderabad District, Telangana

ORDER:
This Court appoints Mr Kowturu Pavan Kumar, the learned advocate, as amicus curiae for assisting this Court. Registry is directed to send the Letter petition to Mr Kowturu Pavan Kumar. Mr B.S. Prasad, the learned Advocate General, seeks four weeks time to file counter. The learned Advocate General is directed to inform the respondents that in case there is any illegal construction going on at the site, the same shall be stopped immediately. Moreover, in case there is any encroachment on the water body, the same shall be removed immediately by the respondents. The report, in this regard, shall be filed before this Court. List this case on 24.06.2020
We expect the Collector, Ranga Reddy District, Tahsildar, Gandipet Mandal (erstwhile Rajendranagar M), Collector, Hyderabad & Thasildar, Amberpet, to comply with High Court order of 20 May 2020 in WP(PIL)32/2020, and evict encroachments in (a) waterbody encroached @17°24’32.56″N 78°21’12.17″E, at Narsingi-Nanakramguda service road, Puppulguda Village, Gandipet M (erstwhile Rajendranagar M), RR District, Telangana and, (b) the Moosi Nadi occupied @ 17°22’57.38″N 78°29’55.08″E, at river bed near Shankar Nagar, Amberpet Mandal, Hyderabad District, Telangana.

We express our appreciation and salute our High Court at Hyderabad for the spot-on order to remove encroachments so that lifelines of Hyderabad, that give elixir of life, i.e. water, are saved, for now and posterity.
We trust our authorities that eviction of encroachments is done before 2 June 2020 so that Telangana Formation Day can be celebrated in the fittest manner.
