It is with deep sorrow and with strong memories of resolute and sincere activist Shri Kunchala Chidambaram garu, that we collectively condole with his bereaved family. Chidambaram garu passed away yesterday 9 July 2020. Chidambaram garu was one of the SOUL water bodies champions felicitated in June 2013 on SOUL formation day.
He had guided many teams India and foreign countries in surveying pollution impacted areas. His recent survey was in late 2019 when he guided a team from Delhi who were researching the role of court and tribunal orders in containing industrial pharma pollutants. Shilpa who did a PhD on pharma pollution from HCU had also teamed up with Chidambaram garu.
Below few pictures of 21 and 22 November 2016, when he accompanied us and the French state TV crew and guided us to Dundigal Ramky hazardous waste treatment plant, to SMS pharma, Patencheru effluent treatment plant, Asani Kunta, etc. There was indeed much to learn from his simplicity and kind conduct.
Request friends to post here any pending cases filed by Chidambaram garu in courts or tribunals so that we can take ahead the cause initiated by him, as a fitting tribute to him.
