15 Socialist Party (India) workers – Laik Ahmed, Ziauddin, Mohammad Izhar Hussain, Ashok, Tarachand, Banarsi, Munnalal, Neelam Gupta, Saif Siddiqui, Mohammad Shakir, Ravindra, Aqueel Ansari, Mohammad Ahmed, Salman Raini and Sandeep Pandey were detained in Lucknow from the Chowk area as they tried to take out their cycle-motorcycle rally through the city on 8 December, 2020, the Bharat Bandh day. They were kept for the entire day in Eco-Garden (an officially designated protest site by the government in Lucknow) in an open jail like setup and released in the evening.
