NOTICE TO THE TELANGANA CIVIL SUPPLIES COMMISSIONER FOR NON ISSUANCE OF FOOD SECURITY CARD OF APPLICATION DATED 6 AUG 2019 – FURTHER APPLICANT COMMUNICATED ON 6 MAY 2021 THAT FSC ISSUING HAS BEEN STOPPED . SHE MAY GET FSC WHENEVER IT RE-OPENS.
On 3 May 2021, below SOS was whatsapped and also conveyed over phone to the District grievance authorities Civil Supplies Telangana, and also to deputy secretary phone number taken from website.
‘FSC APPLICATION FSC021902461113 DT 6.8.2019 SHOWS PENDING STATUS TILL DATE. WHAT IS THE REASON? HOW DO U THINK THE FAMILY SHOULD FEED THEMSELVES ESPECIALLY IN THESE CORONA TIMES? WE EXPECT YOU TO ISSUE THE CARD IMMEDIATELY WITHIN 2 DAYS. PLEASE UPDATE US. THANKS DR LUBNA SARWATH, STATE GENERAL SECRETARY, SOCIALIST PARTY(INDIA) HYDERABAD’
Upon follow up with Grievance auhorities, by furnishing the grievance number lodged and application details, the applicant of food security card received a call from the civil supplies department. She was told that ‘Food security cards are not being issued. It has been stopped. When it re-starts she would be contacted.’
On 6 May 2021 District grievance official wrote to the District civil supplies officer which includes the following statement:
‘Therefore, the District Supply Officer.Ranga reddy District is requested to persue the grievance and issue new ration card as per eligible to the applicant and submit the status report for onward submission as early as possible.’
Till date we have not received any response from the District Civil supplies official. FSC not issued till date to applicant.
There were previous media reports that thousands of food security applications are pending with each district in Telangana state.
Commissioner of Civil Supplies Telangana, who is also Ex. Officio Secretary to Govt., and also Vice Chairman &
Managing Director state Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd., is urged to give us reasons why FSC application of august 2019 is pending till date?
Following our complaint, who has instructed the associate to call the applicant and inform that FSC issuance has been stopped? Is civil supplies department a school/college for applications to be closed and to be re-opened again.?
Is it not on an ongoing basis that FSCs are issued after following due procedure?
Tell us why in spite of reminders since 3 may 2021 FSC not issued till date. Give us the list of pending FSC appliations in RR district with reasons why they kept pending?
Commissioner to ensure that the FSC for application no. FSC021902461113 DT 6.8.2019 be issued on war footing following the due procedure.
We are also copying this to the Telangana State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission’s, President, Member, Registrar, for suo moto redressal of grievance where fundamental entitlement of food security card kept pending since august 2019 and civil supplies department representative informs the applicant that new FSC issuance stopped and she may get it whenever it re-opens, causing applicant further trauma and helplessness.
We are also copying to the Telangana State Human Rights Commission so that the grievance can be taken up suo moto for prompt redressal.
