Thanks to our donors who have contributed over INR 10 lakh, from the start of the lockdown period, we have provided around 75,000 meals through our 20 community kitchens, and provided other forms of support like distribution of free/subsidised ration, masks, sanitary napkins etc to over 23,000 people.

Following residents of Gram Sabha Aseni, Block Banki, Tehsil Nawabganj, Dist. Barabanki have applied online to get their ration cards made. However, their documents are not being submitted at the tehsil and after a priod of one month has lapsed they will be required to make their online application again.
Attached are two lists from the Sitapur district: New job card Contains the families from the districts of Sitapur for whom new job cards are to be issued. State aid: For people with job cards, assistance to be provided by the state in terms of jobs and financial aid. Also, few people who did not receive their job cards yet.
Kindly get ration cards made for families who don’t have one so that they can benefit from the Public Distribution System and get their entitlement. Please forward the complaint to the concerned authority for immediate action.

In this context, this policy brief suggests removal of travel and other restrictions in a staggered manner, proposes to register returnee migrant workers and others with limited mandatory requirement to obtain how many (not who all) to reduce possible exclusion errors, and calls for running special trains/buses with necessary precautions.
