Om Damani, Srijit Mishra and Jayendran Venkateswaran | Anticipating the easing of lockdown and travel restrictions, states are already planning for the return of migrant workers and others. In this context, this policy brief suggests removal of travel and other restrictions in a staggered manner, proposes to register returnee migrant workers and others with limited mandatory requirement to obtain how many (not who all) to reduce possible exclusion errors, and calls for running special trains/buses with necessary precautions.
