Kerala State unit of Socialist Mahila Sabha observed the death anniversary of Aruna Asaf Ali as Women’s Equality Day. Socialist Mahila Sabha workers organized a night march of women in the city of Thiruvananthapuram (capital of Kerala), raising the slogan, “This Street is Ours Too”, to protest against the increasing oppression of women and dowry killings. Socialist Mahila Sabha National Executive Committee member, Advocate Jija James Mathew and state office bearers led the ‘Ra nadatham’ ( Night Walk) flagged off by Socialist Party of India National Vice President Advocate S Rajasekharan. Socialist Party leaders Comrades K Sasikumar, KS Sajith, and Devarajan greeted the gathering.
