PROSPECTUS FOR 2020-21 ACADEMIC YEAR OF TELANGANA OPEN SCHOOL NOT AVAILABLE ON WEBSITE EVEN AS LAST DATE OF ADMISSIONS IS 5 JAN 2021.
We urge the Telangana open school officials to promptly upload the prospectus of tenth and intermediate at telanganaopenschool.org
A biased approach is observed from the government of Telangana towards the Telangana open school affairs. Open school is a platform used mostly by those who have missed school and are wanting to further their education in spite of odds, which means most who opt for Telangana open school are from financially and socially marginalized sections of our society.
Government schools seem to have become all-purpose being used for polling booths/stations, for Covid relief and now also for Covid vaccination centers, all-purposes except education!
What digitalization and IT sector is doing if the prospectus cannot be uploaded in English, Telugu and Urdu on Telangana open school website?
Officials tell that hard copies are being distributed to study centers/schools of open school. One official tells that why should I even call him without visiting the study centers. Whereas officials from Telangana Open School have emailed telling that I should call rather than email.
So nobody wants to take any responsibility. And when finally students visit the study center/school prospectus is hardly given to the student claiming that they have not received adequate copies, whereas it is mentioned that only after reading prospectus student should fill in the form. Such is the anarchy when students want to access education and become responsible citizens and honest humans.
