Government Should be Dissolved immediately
The SPI, Tamil Nadu unit, strongly condemns the District Collector, State Government and the Police who have not taken any preventive measures to handle the basic rights of the people to protest.We condemn the firing by the police which is brutal and inhuman action and for their failure to maintain law and order.
The Government of Tamil Nadu, Union Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board and the Thoothukudi District Administration are squarely responsible for allowing the situation to get to this unfortunate state by allowing Vedanta Sterlite to violate environmental and land use planning laws with impunity for over two decades.
We request the Governor to recommend dissolution of the Government.The centre should impose President Rule. SPI feels that the life has become very cheap in this state and the firing incident is brutal.
The party also demand the closure of the Sterlite Industry with immediate effect.
