The Socialist Party strongly condemns the murder of Gauri Lankesh, activist and editor of ‘Lankesh Patrika’. The party calls upon the state and the central government to arrest and sentence the killers of Gauri Lankesh at the earliest.
The Socialist Party believes that the killing of intellectuals, writers, journalists and political activists is being committed one after the other due to the capitalist-communal nexus operating within the country’s politics. That could be the only reason why the governmental system does not make serious efforts to even identify the killers.
The party considers that the suicides of lakhs of farmers and the mob-lynching of the citizens of minority community too is a result of this capitalist-communal nexus, whose main players are the BJP and the Congress.
In the party’s view, the increasing communal fanaticism in the country can be curbed only when neo-liberal fanaticism is rejected. Only then can there be an end to day-to-day killings and suicides.

गौरी लंकेश की हत्या पूंजीवादी-सांप्रदायिक गठजोड़ का एक और घृणित कृत्य
सोशलिस्ट पार्टी प्रखर पत्रकार और ‘लंकेश पत्रिका’ की संपादक गौरी लंकेश की हत्या की कड़ी निंदा करती है. पार्टी कर्णाटक राज्य और केंद्र सरकार से मांग करती है कि गौरी लंकेश के हत्यारों को जल्द से जल्द पकड़ कर सजा दी जाए.
सोशलिस्ट पार्टी का मानना है कि देश की राजनीति पर काबिज़ पूंजीवादी-सांप्रदायिक गठजोड़ के चलते एक के बाद एक बुद्धिजीवियों, लेखकों, पत्रकारों, राजनीतिक कार्यकर्ताओं की हत्याएं की जा रही हैं. यही कारण है कि सरकारी तंत्र हत्यारों का पता लगाने का गंभीर प्रयास नहीं करता. पार्टी लाखों किसानों की आत्महत्याओं और अल्पसंख्यक समुदाय के नागरिकों की भीड़ द्वारा की जाने वाली हत्याओं को भी इसी पूंजीवादी-सांप्रदायिक गठजोड़ का नतीज़ा मानती है, भाजपा और कांग्रेस जिसकी प्रमुख खिलाड़ी हैं.
सोशलिस्ट पार्टी का मत है कि देश में बढ़ती सांप्रदायिक कट्टरता पर तभी लगाम लगाईं जा सकती है जब नवउदारवादी कट्टरता को छोड़ा जाए. तभी दिन-दहाड़े की जाने वाली हत्याओं और आत्महत्याओं का सिलसिला रोका जा सकता है.
