Senior Socialist Leader Akhei Achumi Passes Away
Shri Akhei Achumi, a senior socialist leader from the North-East region and national vice president of Socialist Party (India) passes away in the afternoon today at Dimapur in a hospital at the age of 75. He was suffering from cancerous gastric ulcer. Akhei Achumi was a close associate of socialist leader Surendra Mohan. He was very active in politics and contested 2014 Nagaland Lok Sabha elections as a candidate of the Socialist Party (India).
The sudden demise of Akhei Achumi is a big loss to the socialist movement and to the SPI. We pay our humble tributes to the departed leader.
