They are further directed to immediately take charge of such children and attend to their basic needs wthout waiting for any further orders from this Court.’
URGE GOVERNMENT OF TELANGANA:
We urge the government of Telangana to confirm to the people of telangana that children who have lost their parents due to Covid19 from March 2020 onwards have been indeed identified by all the 31 district authorities and information uploaded on Bal Swaraj web portal for hearing of Supreme Court on 1 June 2021.
Please confirm to the people of Telangana that all children identified in 31 districts of Telangana are under safe and healthy protection of the district authorities.
Please confirm that the girl children are given a safe home.
Please confirm that all children boys and girls are immediately attended to by child psychiatrists to strengthen them and keep them playful and cheerful.
Please put up district-wise number (not details) thus identified/given to supreme court, and confirmations on Telangana Covid19 portal for public knowledge.
We cannot imagine any lapse on this matter concerning our little ones and younger generation. During one of our recent visits to Hyderabad Juvenile home we found that the child psychiatrist post was vacant. we saw many girls with shattered minds who were wailing to go back home. We observed that There was no psychiatrist who can give the right words and right direction to calm the girls and give them a sense of purpose and direction.
PRAYER TO SUPREME COURT OF INDIA:
We appeal to Supreme Court of India who had ordered IN IA nO. 64373/2021 SMW(c) NO. 4 OF 2020, on 28 May 2021 for the child care, to also order District Authorities to ensure child psychiatrists to attend to all those children who are being identified as having lost parents from March 2020 onwards due to Covid 19.
