Ladakh Peace and Justice March

10-24 September, 2026, Kargil to Leh

This foot march is being organised to express solidarity with the people of Ladakh in their struggle for:

(1) Inclusion of Ladakh in Sixth Schedule of Constitution,

(2) Full statehood for Ladakh, and

(3) Justice for victims of 24 September, 2025 incident.

We appeal to other social, religious, civil society, civil rights and political organisations from the country to support and join this march.

Note:

(1) To join the padyatra you must reach Kargil on 9 September,

(2) However, you may join anywhere during the padyatra for a portion of it,

(3) As Oxygen level decreases as one moves up from Srinagar to Kargil to Leh, it is better to undertake the journey slowly,

(4) Buses and shared taxis are available from Jammu to Srinagar, Srinagar to Kargil and Kargil to Leh,

(5) Do inform your travel plans to Sajjad Kargili to help us plan things.
