SPI in its national executive meeting recently held in Udaipur has decided that all state units will observe a fast on 12 October (Dr. Lohia’s Death Anniversary) from 9 am to 6 pm in their respective states in support of Irom Sharmila. You are requested to organise this program in your state with full preparations and strength sitting maximum office bearers/members on fast. Sathi Sandeep Pandey will prepare a pamphlet for the purpose of distribution on the occasion. The same will be sent to you soon in Hindi and English. It will be the responsibility of the state units that the pamphlet be translated into other Indian languages and be published.
In Delhi, the program will be held at Jantar Mantar and a memorandum will be submitted to the President. SYS activist Hidam Peter, who comes from Manipur and has been associated with Irom Sharmila would be convener of this program
