The holy month of Ramadan has arrived amidst the COVID-19 crisis which has been one of the most difficult times for the weaker sections of society. The lockdown unwilled ‘fasting’ on many poor people who along with their wives and small children have been forced to survive on paltry meals. The helplessness of the whole situation is that able-bodied men and women have no work, to earn their bread respectfully. This month of self-discipline and sacrifice urges one to better understand human suffering. The less privileged have been relying on your compassion, on your Zakat donations.
As a part of our ‘Join the Kitchen’ initiative, we have been running 18 community kitchens which provide over 3500+ meals per day for the poorest of the poor sections of society. For more details see the links given below. We have also decided to give food packets to people who are fasting which would include things Besan, Chana dal, Khajoor, etc.
You could make your Zakat donation in cash or in-kind by donating besan, chana, khajoor, rice, atta, dal, sugar, oil, vegetables, cooked or uncooked food or and we take full responsibility that every donation would be spent only towards the alleviation of poverty and hunger.
