The people living in Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow (opposite Bhavishya Nidhi Bhawan office) slum will be evacuated soon as CM, UP has to lay foundation stone of a building here on 29/10. They’ll need the amounts mentioned in following mail urgently to move into government housing. There are 165 families in this slum and 52 living in slum opposite Lokayukta office who need to be rehabilitated. This is a renewal for the following appeal.

Some daily wage workers, who cannot open a bank account as they have no local identity (they are mostly from different districts of U.P.), living in a slum opposite to Lokayukta office in Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, are about to get housing under the Basic Services for Urban Poor scheme of central government. The fees that they have to pay to get these houses is Rs.16,000 for people from SC community and Rs.19,000 for non-SC. We’re looking for donations from which interest free loans can be made available to these families.
