Dr. Sandeep Pandey is the vice president of the Socialist Party. The Socialist Party is the heir of the Indian socialist movement and ideology propagated by its thinkers like Acharya Narendra Dev, JP, Dr. Lohia, Achyut Patvardhan and Yusuf Mehrally. The party is registered with the Election Commission of India. The constitution and policy document of the party are kept with the Election Commission and its resolutions, press notes and details of various programs are available in the records of the party and media.
Dr. Pandey himself has been fighting for the rights of the deprived sections of the society for a long time. He is a known Gandhian activist, not only in India but abroad as well. All socio-politically aware citizens know about these facts. However, the VC of BHU has accused him of being a ‘naxlite’ and ‘anti-national’. This only proves the mental bankruptcy of the VC.
Being a Central University, the President of India is the Visitor of BHU. The Socialist Party humbly appeals to the President to initiate a proper inquiry into this episode. In order to facilitate a fare inquiry, the party further demands that the VC should be suspended immediately.
